I am so shocked that I can still remember the username/password combo for this blog. It's 1AM now and I am widewidewide awake, but it's okay cos I don't have camp tomorrow like the rest of you all :) I don't even have school tomorrow because I injured my knee again (hohoho, I bet you aren't surprised). Anyway, have fun at Sec 1 and 2 LSC/OBS (HELLO, YOU ALL ARE ALREADY AT PULAU UBIN!!!)/Graces. Sec 1 LSC is such a distant memory la omg, and sec 2 LSC was damn fun cos we mopped the quadrangle together as a batch and got to sleep under the stars :D And OBS was damn awesome even though I'd rather not relive the experience. Graces is filled with slacking in air-con rooms and ~~trying to be~~ being glam and laughing non-stop and funfunfun :D My room stayed up till 3.30AM gossiping and then we were like zombies the next day ahaha. The whole point of Graces is to not sleep early okay (AHEM, jiawen XD) Oh, like Trish said, I want to see Graces photos! :D:D:D

And HELLO NEW JUNIORS!! I didn't get to talk to you all properly when I went back to visit last week, so yeah, HELLO! There are so few of you this year! But have fun in NYCO and ssabollec k <3 And to the sec 2s - 4s: I miss you all a lot! All the best for SYF, and treasure your time in NYCO and ssabollec. As you all know, NYCO will be taking part in MAF celebrations (organised by HCICO) this year! This is a compulsory event for all NYCO members, and consent forms have been given out. Absence will have to be explained with a letter from your parent.

Details are as follows:
Date: 3 Sept (Wed)
Time: 8.30am to 7pm (lunch provided)
Venue: HCI (High School Section)
Attire: School-related T-shirt, bermudas (preferably dark colours). FBTS, SHORTS AND ANYTHING ABOVE MID-THIGH ARE NOT ALLOWED.

Remember to bring:
- Instrument (except double bass, di yin sheng, percussion and yangqin)
- Scores for 《瑶族舞曲》and《家》
- An extra set of clothes as there will be water games

We will be playing 《瑶族舞曲》and《家》with HCICO, conducted by both COs' student conductors, Queenie and Yan Liang respectively. There will also be games and our "traditional" water bomb war! :D

So bring your scores! Yaozuwuqu has been given out. Jia is still with me. and bring your cellos! those of you who have left your cellos in M403, door will be open at 7.40am tomorrow!

A BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW COMMMMM! Committee '08 - '09 :D I wish you all the best, and I'm very proud of you all. And a big fat congrats to Qian Wen and Eva! Eva for secretary 2 and Qian Wen as THE NEW SSABOLLEC SL WHOO. Now you will understand how hard my life is hahahah XD

Okay, this post is damn gay. Anyway, I just want to say that I'M VERY PROUD OF BOTH OF YOU. And not just both of you, the rest of the section toooooo. I feel really sad that my term as SL and a part of NYCO comm '07 - '08 is over, and at the same time really proud of all the juniors. But I feel so empty now too. The past year as ssabollec SL has been simply wonderful, and I love you all like crazy. My love for ssabollec and NYCO will be neverending! ♥ Meaning that I will come back and pester you all, and so will the rest of the sec 4s! So, don't slack! We're still watching you! :D

Oh, and I remember something that Eunice (our SL when I was sec 1) told me back in those days when I was such a noob junior - something about 'injecting new life' to ssabollec, though I can't remember what context it was used in heh. And yeah, though it is incredibly sad that we'll be leaving, there will always be new juniors who will come along. Things like these are ever-changing, but to me ssabollec will still always be the love of my life ♥ And the important thing is to keep the spirit of ssabollec going! Best farewell celebration ever (: Thank you for your love and effort and time (and money lol). And thank you for the build-a-bear thing too, it was actually quite fun la, though damn embarassing. Yea, so, I just want to say JIA YOU SSABOLLEC, we can do it! I have plenty of mixed feelings right now, firstly because I am super excited about concert, and secondly because it is going to be my (and my batchmates') final performance with NYCO ): Trish just reminded me that Friday was our last da zu in M401 and Saturday was our last xiao zu. Hello everyone! As said in the sms I sent you all, please go to NYCO blog to read Sheila's latest post regarding committee elections. Um, I think you're supposed to report at 8AM, not 8.30 as what it says on the blog. But yea, report early on Tuesday! We're going to go through the long process of committee elections. Yep, that is all.

Yo! This is your not-so-lovable junior Eunice posting here for the first time. It's not true that only so few people visit the blog haha.

So I just came back home at 11+ from the LOTR symphony concert and I made this lj post and some of it might be of SOME slight interest to you XD

but most of it is a rant. I can't really post anything terribly coherent because I'm still blown away by it haha. I had a great evening but I still think cat-calling is a total no-no at a concert despite being all starry-eyed and stuff >P

They got nice shiny new instruments that made me turn green with envy, 1 yangqin

(LOLOL) and great french horns.

Libertango does not sound good when you try to turn it into jazz.

We were really stoning during dazu and according to Woon Yee, I was asleep for 25 minutes

in all while Mrs Ee was checking the other sections' 音准.

please don't kill me, seniors *runs away from chimpanZEE*

Libertango and Adios Nonino

hello! :D haha found a video on youtube about this conductor conducting his own arrangement of a libertango + adios nonino medley.

quite cool actually, but the conductor arranges his hair quite a few times while conducting. weird :x

and this is the korean symphony orchestra playing libertango! some people say it's slow, but i think it's okay since they have alot of different parts and it's necessary to bring down the speed a little so that each part can be expressed fully.

HCCO CONCERT LALALA THIS POST IS SO LONG

HCCO concert yesterday. Well done, seniors! :D We hope you liked the bananas.

Yesterday was ...very exciting! I shall talk in point form :D

- Ssabollec gathering at Elysia's house (5 people ahaha FAIL.) to watch The Others on DVD. We were only down to 5 people because JIAWEN AND LIBIN the traitors went to watch their Prince Caspian .___. Anyway, conclusions I've made through watching the film: it's a nice twist at the end but I still don't understand it after having watched it twice. The eyeless granny is too scary. Jia Min and Eunice are wimps. Elysia's house is still perfect for horror movies. WE SHOULD GO AND WATCH THE SHUTTER AGAIN AND MAYBE I WON'T BE SO SCARED THIS TIME :D

- Taught the juniors how to play Bridge (and a lot of other lame card games)! It is a ssabollec tradition to know how to play Bridge! (So if any of you don't know how to play Bridge: ORHHORRRRR NEVER PAY ATTENTION DURING CO CAMP. SAI.) Pringles chips are good. Don't give Trish too many Pringles chips.

- Train ride to Tanjong Pagar was um ...very exciting. I shall tell story now: We were going to meet Qian Wen on the train, so we told her to go to the end of the train. Turns out she was on the other end of the train, but we just decided to get on at our end and be dua-pai and walk our way through the train carriages all the way to her end. We walked like 5 carriages before we realised that it would be impossible to squeeze our way through the train cos PEAK HOUR!!!! :\

- So we ended up coming up with this weird, insane, a bit stupid idea: Which was to run out of the train at every stop, run across the platform and into another carriage further down. Then repeat process at every stop. So at every stop we ran about 1 and a half train carriages, and after about 3 or 4 runs we succesfully reached Qian Wen on the other end of the train without anyone getting left behind on the platform or anything. We are so awesome \o/ (But it was only 5 of us running. Imagine if the whole of ssabollec was there.)

- Dinner at funny hawker place near Singapore Conference Hall. We ate chicken rice again! The chicken rice uncle threatened to charge us GST O__O

- WE REACHED SCH AT UM 7PM I THINK. WE WERE NOT LATE FOR ONCE OMGOMGOMGOMG. And we passed seniors the BANANAS :D I hope the bananas weren't rotten. I was carrying it around the whole day, so uh, I guess it would've been pretty bruised by the time we gave it to you all. Anyway, IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS OKAY WE HOPE IT HELPED TO "CALM YOUR NERVES" :D

- Whee and then concert. We got good seats cos Trish is damn kiasu XD Libin was being scared that there was this empty seat next to her ahahaha. Some random guy went to sit there later. Poor beanie. Anyway, WELL DONE SENIORS WE LOVE YOU A LOT A LOT. We cheered "SSABOLLEC!!!" nearing the end of intermission, did you hear?! We also met Yang! I didn't recognise Yang the first time and walked right past her. SORRRRY D:Adios Nonino was damn nice :D:D:D! I recorded it on my handphone but the recording quality is damn shit :\ I liked gu du and da di! I shall not comment about the second song um...

hahahhhahhah our birthday this year is on the 13th of June! :D which is amazingly close to last year's, which was the 14th of June! :D

anyway, taking that everyone was born on the stroke of midnight, our exact time of birth as ssabollec would be:

does anyone have a free coffin by the way? or else the only way we can properly let it go is to burn it and keep its ashes in an urn. then we can go to mandai crematorium together and say our last prayers.

and we must remember to burn rosin (we can use the small pieces) and bow hair (anything on m4o3's floor).

Hello! I am here to post about random things again. I took a photo of our cellobass shoe rack! Haha, I felt very smart one day during da zu and went to flip our "cellobass" sign upside down. Look, it says "SSABOLLEC" now :D

Wheeee okay. Anyway, MORNING CIRCLES AGAIN TOMORROW AND FRIDAY. Btw, our morning circles have been a bit ...emo lately (maybe it's because I've been using the past 2 morning circles to do prep talks) but I hope you all continue to make the effort to turn up anyway and yea, just, come with an open mind. And come prepared to talk too! Some of the seniors are so chatty, but our juniors are so quiet :X I also kind of hope you guys can understand why I feel it necessary to voice out certain things the way that I do and yea, stop being so siannish okay! It affects my mood too, bah.

HELLO! First off, I have something massively important to say:

Then again, I don't think she reads blogs. Whatever, loser :D Yes, yes, today our very own resident pervert turns 16! She is now really, truly a perverted old person. Let me show you what her reply to my birthday SMS was: "How dare you say i'm old! I'm still young and with lots of stamina to be a pervert!!" HAHAHA XD

Ok, and now I shall move on to other issues: I posted a whole lot of stuff on my livejournal related to ssabollec, haha, uh I sound really emo or whatever, but aiya, you'll all read it sooner or later, so: HERE IS AN EXCERPT :P (...Did I spell excerpt wrongly?)

...It is stressful, tiring, and occasionally disappointing trying to be a good, reasonable and responsible SL for this section. But this is all part and parcel of the job, right? Right. On the other hand, let me tell you what else is part and parcel of being an SL: For one, nothing can beat the joy that comes from having such happy and loving batchmates, juniors and seniors. Some of the best times of my life are those which I spent with ssabollec. SYF was a trying and exhausting time for all of us, but it bonded us all sososo much. Andandand Concert '06 and Glitters! I really miss the seniors ... ): But other than that, there's also that sense of belonging that I doubt I will find anywhere else. All my 4 years here, our section has been united, insane and just so much fun (and our ssabollec spirit can be sensed by people inside and out of the section), and you know, I always want ssabollec to stay that way. ♥ ♥

I feel the need to randomly proclaim that... NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, SSABOLLEC, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU ♥ And we shall jia you together for concert :D Do your best and do it for yourselves, to make this concert the best that we can make it. Gambatte and etc! (:

Hi.

I am down with a stomach flu, urgh >:\ So, while I am being all slobbish and lazy and spineless at home with nothing to do, I decided to pimp our blog.

I CHANGED THE LAYOUT, ISN'T IT GORGEOUS?

Ok, who am I trying to kid? It totally isn't. But I think it's better than the previous layout anyway. I am so glad we have finally gotten rid of that D: Anyway, if you think that this layout is hideous too, just tell me, or go tweak it yourself, as long as you don't make it more hideous, I don't mind :) I also realised that I haven't finished linking anyone. Because, surprisingly, I don't know a lot of people's blog links. You can't blame me, I don't do blog-hopping ):

Oh I should really tell you that now all our posts need to have titles. If your post is title-less, the first line will go into the title box thingo there (the orange column UP THERE ^^^) and then it will start looking really really hideous. Go check the archives, I bet there are perfect specimens somewhere.

Anyway ok, I was just backtracking the entries and I found Xiao Wei's entry in MAY 2006 (SO LONG AGOOOO) about NAPFA INCLINED PULL UPS. The funny tradition whereby all ssabollec'ers are supposed to get C and above for inclined pull up. Then I realised that I have never accomplished that in my life ever. ...*fail* ): I DID FIVE INCLINED PULL UPS. I AM SO SUPER. :\ Oh and I nearly died doing shuttle run because we did NAPFA indoors, outside the hall, and THE FLOOR WAS SO BLOODY SLIPPERY AND MY LOUSY SCHOOL SHOES HAVE NO GRIP ;____; Anyway, NAPFA sucks, end of story.

I shall move on to something more serious. SRS BZNESS. Because Sheila gave the whole CO a nice long prep talk yesterday and yea, I have to follow up on that obviously. I intended to do so today and I have a lot of crap to say, but due to ridiculously bad timing, I'm not in school today. HA. So I shall initiate MORNING CIRCLE ON MONDAY (we shall settle the time to meet later) where we can all sit in a big happy circle and talk, because I think everyone's more comfortable talking under these kinds of circumstances right? It's probably going to get a bit ...stern, but don't worry, I don't think it'll get emo or anything, let's all do the smart thing and be positive instead. But I would really like all of you to show up and really take things seriously. (For some reason, I am apparently very hard to take seriously. I feel so comical now. Hohoho.) Like seriously seriously, I kid you not.

Also on srs bzness but also REALLY EXCITING BUSINESS. CONCERT IS IN... 104 DAYS :D I am looking forward to it a lot a lot a lot. WHOO. Super excited, but we still have a lot of work to do so JIA YOU SSABOLLEC, I LOVE YOU ALL A LOT A LOT A LOT TOO.

HIIIIIIIIIII. (this is the 111th post!!!)

Sotong, Penguin and I just went to this printing shop at Jurong Point a few hours ago to see if it's suitable for printing our ssabollec tee at. The quotation he gave us is TWENTY BUCKS PER SHIRT. Kinda expensive, but it's because of all the colors. He kept saying something about the "template" but I really don't know what a "template" is. Anyway, we're going to keep searching for printing shops! I think we can get a quotation of at least below 18 bucks! And if you know any connections/cheap (but good!) printing shops, PLEASE SAY HOR :D

Anyway, a rough idea of what our ssabollec tee will look like: CLICK THIS!!! Except it'll be purple! Cos I had to print this out and my printer doesn't have so much purple ink -__-

Btw, we're adding the NANYANG PE LOGO on the front, where logos usually are. The thing is, if we want to wear it during prac, it has to be approved by school management. If it's going to be approved by school management, it has to have the school logo/CCA name etc etc etc. This is as much tweaking that I can do to make our shirt legal without totally killing the design. If you have any better ideas, let me know! :D :D :D

I haven't posted here in AGESSSS. Haha. Anyway I am here now :D

CO camp is over! Our last CO camp T_T for Sec 3s (or Sec 4s soon. Omg we are gonna be Sec 4 in a few weeks D:) And on the last day we were left with what, 8 people! Out of 17! Get well soon Elysia, Muthu, Qian Wen, and anyone else who's sick! Like Zimin and I with our throats hahaha.

All that's left of our section on Day 3 T_T I don't really have photos, Yiling and Maureen have photos from Alumni dinner x) I want photossss!

but still, i know myself best and the truth is that i'm not capable enough yet.
i'll do my very best, but as much as i really want to stay a batchmate with all of you, i can't promise or say anything yet.
but one thing you guys must promise me is that, whatever happens, as long as we are together as batch'04 in the future, we must be comfortable with one another's presence! cannot be like strangers, okay!

To Sec 3 Juniors:
Thank you for the surprise that you've prepared! It's delightful and very very meaningful. The rambutan is adorable, so is my pretty ~~leafless~~ PINK flower. 8D You 6 have spent the longest time with us, and have gone through SZQY06 and NYGlitters and many more xiaozus and dazus and sectional lunches and gatherings with us! Thank you for everything and BEST OF LUCK FOR NEXT YEAR! GAMBATTE :D Take good care of our juniors and keep SSABOLLEC as bonded as we are now! (: And....... treasure your last year in NYCO and ssabollec :)

To Sec 2 Juniors:
Wahahah you 4 are the cutest juniors ever. Yesterday was your first official performance (excluding sotong!), hope you all enjoyed it! You 4 will have many many more of those coming, and of course the exciting SYF09! What else can i say but Jiayou! However difficult it might be, there will always be us seniors to back you all up. :D

To Sec 1 Juniors (if anyone of them even knows about this blog xD):
You have very wonderful seniors! Of course that includes us Sec 4s la :P Aim to become like them too! Hoho enjoy future practices and do your best! Listen to seniors esp that Hohohohoho person 8)! Ah! Yes must make it for CO Camp! Don't go on holiday ok! Because it should be pretty exciting! :P

Lastly, to my batchmates:
We are old people! Aiya maybe only Yanqi la. Hahahahahaha the rest still young and youthful (A) <--- Kidding ._. We have spent the longest time together and i think we really enjoyed the times together! I still rmb Sec 1 Orientation 2 years ago with the flower and water game. Haha. Exciting. And SYF05, FOA05, NYCO SZQY06, NYGlitters, SYF07, and charity concert (haha random) and all the CNY performances ._. I am glad and very happy to have all of you as my batchmates! Hehhehheh jiayou for EOYS ._. Yangg jiayou for Os ba! :D We must go back visit juniors oftennnn! Must make sure the Sec1s and future batches of Sec1s all know us! 8)

I must say again, this year's batch of Ssabollec07 is really the happiest, and most-strongly bonded one i guess. (: Hoho even Mrs Ee says we are bonded! 8DDD! So juniors you all must carry this on! But DONT FORGET US OK! WE WILL BE BACK! 8D

hello! :D

syf showcase is very near. and i know that we have been lian-ing molihua for xiaozu recently. (:

and because there's 2hours of dazu in the morning and 3hours of xiaozu in the afternoon, some of us get really sian when we start lian-ing molihua and towards the end of xiaozu we get really restless.

but i think that we should all still really try our best for showcase, like think of it as performing not only for ourselves, but also for the rest of nyperformingarts. we got the chance to perform for showcase, and the rest didn't.

so i think that we should really treasure the time we have left to get back that syf feeling for molihua. :D maybe some of us are tired after syf, but we should be proud and honour the chance of getting into showcase.

so jiayou cellobass! :D pay attention to the dynamics and tempo for the intro etc. i think we'll all be happy in the end, when we perform our very best for showcase. :D

I just listened to chun1 just now! It made me feel very sad because it is currently 2 years after the time we played chun1. The whole feeling of that song and what we play now in dazu is different. And we only practised chun1 for like 2 months before we performed. Chun1 is a very nice song! Looking forward to hearing it again tomorrow during Dunman CO concert (but I'd still prefer our version of course x)

Treasure the time we spend in CO because time flies. :(
